Gujarat Astrological Angle

Gujarat in present form was born with an inauguration function at 8.00 am on 1/5/60 at Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad. It was born in Taurus lagna, Sukarma Yoga and with Moon in Gemini in Ardra nakshatra (the major reason of its money care!)

It was born in Rahu Mahadasha which lasted till 13/11/66. It has passed through the Mahadashas of Jupiter and Saturn and now passing through the Mahadasha of Mercury since 13/11/01. As Mercury being a lord of second house (Dhan & marak) and lord of fifth house (liquid currency) and is Vargottami in Navansha lagna; the period of 17 years from 13/1/01 to 13/11/18 become very important for the name and progress of Gujaratis as their wealth in terms of market value has gone up and will further go up till 2018. 

At present the State is passing through Rahu antar and Ketu pratyantar in the Mahadasha of Mercury. Therefore Rahu and Ketu will be the ruling lords for the period from 5/11/12 to 30/12/12. As per the R&D of one of Gujarat's well known astrologer, Rahu indicates the support of minorities & backwards to the winners of life during this phase. Rahu antar ends on 29/11/13, followed by Jupiter and Saturn. The prashna kundali also indicated Ketu-Ketu-Rahu.

In Gochar Saturn (exalted) is aspecting the birth Sun which is also in exalted sign indicates great surprises.
