Love is Supreme

Love is Supreme

Love, the four letters word is loved by all creatures on earth. Whether the person or object carry that quality or not but the palpitations of heart with the rhythm of love is heavenly feeling in all hearts.

Human tries to love opposite sex first, then try to love other humans, creatures and at the end love the Almighty. And when one loves someone, he/she is ready for all the possible acts and sacrifices. One will overlook minuses and add on pluses to enlarge the value of the loved one in his/her heart and mind.

Why do they do that?

We are manushya, the creation from the mind of Brahmaji (manas putra). We live by mind and feel by heart. The happiness, unhappiness, joy, sorrow, anger, greed, ego, desire, attachment, detachment, etc, emerge and submerge on the screen of our mind. And our mind is not a machine but a live object carry it's heart, reacts with each feeling. Therefore, our entire existence, from birth to death, is a play on the ground of our mind.

Therefore, whatever one wishes, can plant in the mind farm, cultivate and enjoy the fruits. Whatever we plant, the same grow and deliver crops. Therefore, it is very essential to attend the plantation (of thoughts) in our mind.

Why Hindus perform Navadha Bhakti (listening, praising, remembering, rendering service, worshiping, paying homage, servitude, friendship and complete surrender) to pray God? The God is in the form of idol and all know that it can't accept the flower, pujan, archan in physical form. But the prayer is not for the Idol. It is for us to cultivate better thoughts in our mind. With each aahuti with swaha, we plant godliness in our heart and mind, and go on increasing with the act, so that it becomes permanent. All good dravya, flowers, aroma, prasad, etc, are to facilitate us in cultivating more and more crop of devotion and happiness.

Similarly, loving an individual, the person may be far away from you, but in his/her remembrance you make your thought process active to develop various kinds of positive feelings in your heart. The other person may not be aware, but you are cultivating your farm. When this process crosses the boundaries of physical attractions (vasana) to feeling of mind (love) and then a desire of unification of souls (Bhakti), the true meaning of love and God can be understood.

Worshipping with or without idol is a means of procedure; but the medium that plant more seeds of love and happiness in our mind to get the maximum yield during the life span is the best suited method for each individual. The way keeping opposite sex in mind, one may feel better in feeling of love, similarly with idol and rituals, one may express better worshipping to God.

The procedure is for outcome. Whichever way it suits you, do it. But always keep in mind, your ultimate goal is to cultivate love in your heart, the pure form of Brahman, Himself.
