ॐ सूर्याय नमः

How sweet it looks when we say that electricity tariff for electricity consumption is ₹3.20/unit for first 50 units, ₹3.90/unit for next 150 units and ₹4.90/unit for remaining unit. For 500 odd units consumption in two months, the average unit cost will come around ₹4/unit. But when you pay the bill, you pay ₹6.30/unit.

There is FPPPA (fuel and power purchase adjustment cost) ₹0.90/unit; the Regulatory Charges ₹0.18/unit; the Fixed Charges ₹0.22/unit (for load consumption), Govt tax @ 20%, and the fixed meter rent.

With the modern inventions on renewable energy, the Solar and Wind energy are getting cheaper. If we manage our roof top with solar panels well, the dependency of the electricity company can go away. Though Govt has offered subsidy but with the profit margin of the Solar Electricity manager, the CAPEX may not be attractive or affordable for the common men at present.

The knowledge and literacy is not limiting us in only the skill of reading and writing. We are in Digital phase and aiming for cashless economy, we should acquire technology literacy. If more and more people are evolved than the CAPEX can further go down and get us free electricity from our Great Father, the Sun.

Save money, save electricity and capture free electricity from the Sun if you wish to become free from different jargons of electricity bill, charging your pocket. Meantime, don't forget to move to LED to save the units of consumption, the fixed and other charges😊
