All Streams flow into the Sea

All Streams flow into the Sea

I wrote to my Muslim friend across the border:

If I was born in your family, my name would have been Muhammad. If you were born in my family, your name would have been Ramchandra. The names differ, but the Soul remain unchanged. Whether we call Him Allah or Bhagwan or Brahman or Father, He is the Same. One and Only the Almighty. The life energy in us.

He Replied:

True to the extent of name change but as far as our Creator is concerned without any doubt He's One and He has given the same guidance to all humanity right from the beginning but we made additions to it and whenever we strayed from the path, He sent his messengers who purified His message and showed us the right path. Since He is One, we cannot expect Him to give one thing to one part of the humanity and something diametrically different to the other. This cannot be His doing. It is to be found with our own acts. We must strive to seek the truth till the moment we breathe our last.

He is speaking the same language in other words. Sanatan Hinduism believe in One God Brahman and the life we live either of happiness or pain is a result of our Own Acts. And for messenger, we believe in the verse in Ch4 of Bhagvad Geeta:
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत ।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥४-७॥
परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् ।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ॥४-८॥

(Yada yada hi dharmasya glanirbhavati bharata, Abhythanamadharmasya tadatmanam srijamyaham.Paritranaya sadhunam vinashay cha dushkritam, Dharmasangsthapanarthay sambhabami yuge yuge)

(Meaning: Whenever virtue subsides and wickedness prevails, I manifest Myself. To establish virtue, to destroy evil, to save the good I come from age to age.)

All Streams flow into the same Sea.

Nehru and Sardar, left and right wing of politics

Nehru was considered a leader of left wing politics and Sardar Patel as a leader of right wing politics in Congress. One was idealistic, another was realistic. One was sentimental, another was mature.

One was progressive socialist, another was rightist. But surprisingly, adverce to the ideology, Nehru lived feudal life style and Sardar lived very simple life. Both together gave us the present day powerful India.

Both were strong disciples of Mahatma Gandhi. Both were towering personalities of India. But both fought a "cold war" of claiming Gandhi legacy.

In age, Sardar was 14 years elder to Nehru. In party rank, Nehru became Congress President in 1929 and Sardar in 1931. Nehru first met Gandhi in 1916 at Lucknow session of Congress. Sardar first met Gandhi in 1917 at Gujarat Political Conference in Godhra.

Nehru became closer to Gandhi during 1919-29 during his political apprenticeship under Gandhi. Sardar became closer to Gandhi during their stay together in Yervada Central Jain in 1931-32.

The relationship between Gandhi and Nehru was like a Father and Son. The relationship between Gandhi and Sardar was like and Elder Brother and Younger Brother.

Nehru became General Secretary of Congress in 1920 and By late 1921, became one of the most prominent leader of the Congress. He was the advocate of complete freedom of India. He became more powerful and popular in 1929 as President of Congress passing Lahore Congress resolution of "पूर्ण स्वराज" "complete self-rule" on 26/1/1930.

Sardar became powerful in Congress after became interim President and later elected President at Karachi Congress meeting in 1931. He became the Congress's main fund-raiser and chairman of its Central Parliamentary Board, playing the leading role in selecting and financing candidates for the 1934 elections to the Central Legislative Assembly in New Delhi and also for the Provincial elections of 1936. Therefore became more powerful amongst party cadre.

His major differences started with Nehru while opposing declarations of the adoption of "Socialism"proposed by Nehru at the 1936 Lucknow Congress session, which he believed was a diversion from the main goal of achieving independence. Nehru couldn't pass the resolution though he was the President of Congress.

It was the time when the trio of Nehru, Subhash and Jayprakash Narayan representing left wing and the trio of Sardar, Rajgopalachari and Rajendra Prasad representing the right wing in Congress.

Nehru and Sardar, both were in unanimity in taking part in First Provincial Government elections of 1937, conducted under the GoI Act 1935. Gandhi resigned from membership of Congress in 1936, opposing the move.

When Subhash Bose became Congress President against the will of Gandhi in Haripura (Gujarat) Congress and elected again (1539 votes) for the second term winning against Gandhi's choice,

Pattabhi Sitaramayya (1377 votes) in Tripura Congress in 1939; Sardar Patel organised rank and file opposition to the attempt of Bose to move away from Gandhi's principles of non-violent resistance. 12 of 14 CWC members resigned and compelled Bose to finally resigned.

Netaji Bose left Congress, formed Forward Block, escape from British house arrest, joined Germany-Japan. In side in World War II, led Azad Hind Fauz, became our Hero with his actions and slogans "चलो दिल्ली", "तुम मुझेख़ून दो, मैंतुम्हेंआज़ादी दूँगा" "Chalo Delhi", and a first person to address Gandhi as the Father of the Nation. His death in overloaded Japanese plane crashed in Taiwan (Formosa) is yet to be confirmed fully. His ashes remains in Tokyo, yet to be accepted by the GoI as the mystery of his death remained unresolved. Gandhi, on his death, ranked him the bravest man of Hindustan.

Nehru and Sardar Patel were in unanimity while resigning from the Provincial Governments in 1939 after Lord Linlithgow, Viceroy of India decided to join India in World War II, without consultation of Congress and the elected wings of the Government. This was a major turning point of Indian politics.

Muslim League, which lost 1937 Provincial Elections so badly with winning only 106 seats (7%) against Congress 707 seats (45%) out of total 1585 seats, suddenly rejuvenated.

After Quit India Movement and jail of three years, when Nehru and Sardar came out of jail in 1945, the British decided transfer of powers to Indians. The British was avoiding Gandhi to succeed in its game of partition of India. Gandhi though failed in convincing Jinnah for United India after 19 days visits to his house, was trying to find out his position in the Game. It was a time of decisive role of Nehru, Sardar and Jinnah to achieve their respective goals.

As independence getting closure, the rift between Nehru and Sardar started widening. The game "who is powerful" got on. In the 1946 election for the Congress presidency, as the elected President would lead free India, Patel stepped down in favour of Nehru at the request of Gandhi. 13 out of 16 states representatives favoured Sardar Patel. But Patel respected Gandhi's request to not be the first prime minister. As the first Home Minister, Patel played a key role in integration of many princely states into the Indian federation.

Gandhi preferred Nehru to Sardar may be for reasons: being a Gujarati couldn't support another Gujarati, may have differences with Sardar on his working style, may be to keep his word to make Nehru as his political heir and successor, may be age factor (Nehru was 57 and Sardar 71) or may be some other reasons.

When the British mission proposed two plans for transfer of power. The plan of 16 May 1946 proposed a loose federation with extensive provincial autonomy, and the "grouping" of provinces based on religious-majority. The plan of 16 June 1946 proposed the partition of India on religious lines, with over 600 princely states free to choose between independence or accession to either dominion. The League approved both plans, while the Congress flatly rejected the 16 June proposal.

Gandhi criticised the 16 May proposal as being inherently divisive, but Patel, realising that rejecting the proposal would mean that only the League would be invited to form a government, lobbied the Congress Working Committee hard to give its assent to the 16 May proposal. When the League retracted its approval of the 16 May plan, the viceroy Lord Wavell invited the Congress to form the government. Nehru became the First PM (VP of GG Council) of India and Sardar Patel took charge of the departments of home affairs and information and broadcasting.

Sardar Patel was one of the first Congress leaders to accept the partition of India as a practical and workable solution to the rising Muslim separatist movement led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. His working with VP Menon between the months of December 1946 and January 1947, made him more clear on the solution. Patel's decisiveness on the partition of Punjab and Bengal had won him many supporters and admirers. When Lord Louis Mountbatten formally proposed the plan on 3 June 1947,

Patel  and Nehru gave their approval and lobbied other Congress leaders to accept the proposal. He convinced Gandhi over the perceived practical unworkability of any Congress-League coalition, the rising violence and the threat of civil war.

Nehru was unhappy with the working style of Sardar Patel and Sardar Patel was unhappy with the working style of Nehru in the Government. Nehru was offended by Patel's decision making regarding states' integration. Nehru was PM and 14 years younger to Sardar, but Sardar was DyPM and had better command over Congress Party. Superiority clash might be there. Otherwise, why should they exchange letters when working in the ministry under one roof. To quote one example, when Nehru sent his PS to visit, inquire and give a report on Jodhpur, Sardar objected the visit without his knowledge mentioning the position under rules of business and distribution of work. Nehru replied defending freedom and discretion of the PM.

On 30/1/48, with his an hour meeting with Gandhi between 4.10-5.10 PM, he expressed hisdifferences with Nehru and asked Gandhi to permit him to quit the Government so that he can work for the party. Gandhi advised him not to leave government with an assurance that he will talked to Nehru and discuss the issue in that day prayer meeting too. But it didn't happen as Gandhi was assassinated by Godse, after a minute of the meeting. The death of Gandhi reunited Nehru and Sardar. But Gandhi's death and post assassination allegations regarding security lapse of Home Ministry made him further weak. He suffered a major heart attack in March 1948 and was off work for four months. He attributed the attack to the "grief bottled up" due to Gandhi's death. He tendered a letter of resignation which was withhold by his Secretary, meanwhile Nehru wrote him a letter dismissing any question of personal differences and his desire for Patel's outster. Nehru's public defend of him in the matter moved him. Sardar publicly endorsed Nehru's leadership.

Lord Mountbatten made Rajgopalachari his second choice to succeed him after Sardar Patel. But Nehru objected for Sardar Patel and finally Rajgopalachari became the first Indian Governor General of Independent India.

Mountbatten stayed in India till 21/6/48. It is to note that accession of Hyderabad to the Union of India happened with military action on 13-17 September, after the departure of Mountbatten from India. In Sardar's word, the ulcer (Osmanistan) on India was cured. KM Munshi was the Indian Agent Genral to the princely state of Hyderabad.

Nehru contributed directive principles of state policies (Gandhian thoughts in the Constitution) and Sardar on Fundamental Rights and provincial constitutions.

Nehru was in oppose to continue ICS ('neither Indian, nor civil, nor a service') format of British Administration, Sardar reformed it into IAS and IPS made him 'patron saint' of India's services.

During the nomination of the First President of India Nehru favoured the GG Rajgopalachari, placing argument of North South balance of power. Sardar supported Rajendra Parsed and Rajendra Babu became our First President of Republic India.

In the election of Congress President in 1950, Nehru objected candidate Purushottam Das Tondon and endorsed Jivanram Kriplani. Nehru threatened to resign if Tondon was elected.  Tondon was elected proving that Nehru's will was not law with Congress. Kriplani, hailing from Gujarat received zero vote from the State. Sardar was the Supreme Commander of Gujarat Congress from 1925-50.

Sardar Patel during his visit to Junagadh on 12/11/47, pledged for the reconstruction of Somnath temple.Gandhi endorsed the move with a condition that funds for construction should be collected from public. It was not materialised due to death of Gandhi and Sardar. The task was then lead by Kanaiyalal Munshi (Minister for Food and Civil Supply) and installation ceremony was performed in May 1951 by Rajendra Prasad, the President of India. Nehru had a rift with Prasad on the issue of principle.

Mera Bharat Mahan

Mahan Bharat survived for more than 5000 years with its Aggro Estate Model.
The Industrial Estate Model will ruin it in 500 years.
65% of our population still lives in villages. The aggro and agro based activities are still the major occupations of their life.

But the pulling effect of Machine India needs to be controlled. It is dragging away the agricultural manpower to the unnecessary (from the point of view of human health and life) activities. The youths do attract to the cities for jobs, money and life which teach them enjoyment without restraints.

Machine India has established Industrial Estates for mass production. It has pulled away 30% of Mahan Bharat population to the cities for labour work and to consumed its goods and services.

As the producers are less in numbers but the production is huge in quantity, they are in search of markets. They are approaching the villages with the help of roads, transports, electricity, TV and mobiles.
In fact, the Machine India is dependent on Mahan Bharat for foods, vegetables and milk.

It doesn't shout if the prices of land, buildings, shares, gold, silver, junk food, cinema tickets, appliances, cosmetics, fashion, fabrics, fertilizers, pesticides, medicines, fees of professionals, etc., go up. But it does shout if the prices of cereals, vegetables and milk go up.

Dairy may be one of the reasons of malnutrition. The milk produced by Mahan Bharat is being consumed by the Machine India. The children and women of Mahan Bharat do not get milk, butter milk and ghee to improve their health para metres. Milk has been converted into houses, bikes, TVs, electrical appliances, cell phones, bills payments on cell-electricity-doctors-medicines, etc. But it has not converted into the cells and hemoglobin of the children and women of the Mahan Bharat.
Due to continuous brain washing with the advertisements and showing bright life of cities/towns; village people started preferring physical comforts life to industrious life. They are non-productive in villages once the agriculture season is over. The crafts are dying for want of buyers. Machines have taken away their work. There is continuous migration to the cities and industrial estate areas for want of jobs.  As a result there is an acute shortage of farm labourers. Agriculture is now getting mechanized. Bullocks are invisible. One day buffaloes and cows will also be invisible.

If the trend continues, people will have machines but no food. They may drink coup of tea made of chemical milk. They may eat food tablets instead of the testiest Gharka Khana. They will spoil their health with bad food habits, wrong living styles, and pollutions. They will spend more money on doctors, medicines and hospitals. The lives with quarrels push them to the advocates and arbitrators to exploit.

Let us work, work together to balance both the Agro Estate and the Industrial Estate Models to make our mother land Mera Bharat Mahan.

Yours,
Punamchand

Kedarnath calamity

It was early monsoon, raining continuously since 14/6. Kedar Valley received nearly 720mm rainfall during 15-16-17. Entire Himalayan terrain from Alaknanda Valley to Yamuna Valley was raining.

Situation was alarming. But people were not stopping their Dham Yatra.

It was raining continuously, Chaurabari (Gandhi Sagar) lake 3kms above Kedar was getting filled up; the glacier was also moving silently with a pressure of rain water all over and other side pilgrims were entering valley of death unstopped.

At around 2.30 pm on 16/6, a big landslide near Rambada blocked returned journey of the pilgrims. All Gadheras (local word for streams) become active and became Rollas.

The muel owners and dolivalas were on strike. Kesav Tiwari was on fasting till death in support of muel owner. A movement against increasing trips of helicopter support to tourists. Many people stayed back in Kedar from 15/6.

A warning flood came on 16/6 at 7.55 pm at Kedar washed away police chowky. Water entered into many buildings. Some portion of Rambada damaged. People were in alert but unaware of thedevastating morning to come.

At 6.55am on 17/6 massive flood came with bolders and glacier materials. Within 5-8 minutes, it distroyed many buildings and filled up ground floor with debris; some people were coming out of window like fishes from the first floor. Thereafter, flood started receding but killed thousands. Lazy people sleeping on second floor saved life in undestroyed buildings. The stiff angle of river nearly 65 degree, converted it into a fall, hitting directly to Rambada removed its existance. The changed route killed many enroute. Those who tried to escape of the floods and landslide tried to take shelters through climbing mountains behind Rambada. Some succeeded in getting approach to Tirjugi Narayan route. But many died in fotest area behind Rambada due to heart attacks, lungs problems and starvation.

Nature killed them cruelly. Weather Dhatri Devi or not, their dead bodies are under debris or eaten byvultures and animals. 3068 pilgrims from other states are missing. 4500 mules, 300 dolies, shop keepers, hoteliers, their staff, bangers, nepalis, etc., indicate very big figure of locals in the Kedar Valley. The deaths toll may go upto 8000.

Many have been rescued from Kedar, Garud Chatti, Jangle Chatti, Gaurikund, etc., by IAF, NDRF, ISBT, BSF, Army and State Police. The crash of MI 17 killing 20 soldiers might bring out another human mistake of flying high withoverloading.

If District administration could have stopped the pilgrims going into Kedar from 14/6, following heavy to very heavy rainfall warnings of IMD, the calamity could have been mitigated.

If pilgrims could have stopped reading heavy rainfall condition could have saved themselves. Many stopped at Gaurikund have been saved.

If Kedar could have been evacuated on 16/6 night after the warning flood at 7.55 PM and people could have been shifted to a safe location at Bhairav Temple 2.5 kms to the right of Kedar and people at Rambada could have been guided to go upwards towards Gauriya instead of climbing up in mountains; thousands of lives could have been saved. But it was difficult to presume or imagine such a massive flood and convince the people to move out of hotels and dharmashalas and spend a night under open sky at Bhairav Temple. Similarly, people at Rambada returning from Kedar can't go back up towards Kedar.

Let us pray God to rest the Souls in Peace.

Later Mughal Era

India born on 15/8/47 at 00.00 hrs with Moon in Cancer, Pushya nakshatra; Tauras lagna, with all the planets located in the dark globe with kal sarp position of Rahu and Ketu, making 3rd house (adventures, siblings, neighbours ) the strongest with positioning 5 planets (Moon, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Sun).

The country started its journey with Saturn Mahadasha, has passed through Mercury, Ketu and Venus mahadasha and now passing through Sun mahadasha.

It had fortunate time 20 years of growth and wealth during Venus Mahadasha from 11/9/89 to 11/9/2009. But thereafter, Sun Mahadasha has proved very tough for rulers from 5/11/10. Sun mahadasha with Rahu antar 5/11/10 to 29/9/11; with Saturn antar 18/7/12 to 29/6/13; rahu pratyantar from 22/3/13 to 13/5/13 didn't give joy of power to the central government. The present government has Rahu in fourth house, the house of happiness. It was deprived of that. If survived till 29/6/13, it will complete its full term. It has advantage if elections are held before 4/5/14.

The period from 11/9/15 to 11/9/25 will be time for adventurers and the nation will gain wealth and strength. But period from 12/9/25 to 11/9/32 indicates violence and internal conflicts. The country may have to work hard for 18 years from 12/9/32 to 11/9/50 to regain its glory. I may not be their physically, but will pray through soul for the happiness of Mother India.

Happy Mother's Day. Long live India.

Shubham bhavatu Kalyanam.

Modi Rahul Forecast

Both are rising. Both born in moon sign scorpio but with different nakshatra. One with Jyestha (lord Indra) another with Anuradha (lord Mitra). Both have one depleted planet, Saturn and Moon respectively. Both are passing through Moon mahadasha and Saturn sadesati. One has Moon-Saturn-Rahu/Jup and another has Moon-Rahu-Jup dasha, anterdasha and pratyantar period. One will be governed by Saturn and another by Rahu during election period and surprisingly both planets are moving in Libra. However Saturn (25 37) and Rahu (03 06) are far apart and moving towards the next sign Scorpio and Virgo respectively. Exalted Saturn is moving at nearly 180 from the Birth Saturn (depleted) of one with a positive move of Jupiter over birth Sun & Mars. Another born with vargottami Venus has advantage of exalted Venus at the time if poll may fetch good number of female votes and may lead to Malvya yoga.

One rose from a Student (born with silver spoon in his mouth) to MP to General Secretary to VP of a party. Another from a tea vender to Pracharak to General Secretary to CM to PM candidate from a party. Both have lost their father and growing with the blessing of their mothers.

Winston Churchill was born in Jayeshtha and Indira Gandhi was in Anuradha nakshatra. Both have Mars personality with quick decisions-reactions in matters coming across. One has daring another can destroy enemies. Whosoever wins, will become a famous PM of the country.

The person who lost the race in the first round (born with depleted birth Saturn) may be a key figure in turning the table around. He who defeated one with depleted Saturn has to face 2 persons with depleted Saturn. Very interesting fight that will be watched by the world.

All eyes are set in May 2014. Sun will be in its exalted sign Aries till 15/5/14.

Shubham Bhavatu Kalyanam.

Punamchand

Natural Calamity Prediction

Exalted Saturn (in Libra) with a union of Rahu with an opposition of exalted Sun with union of own housed Mars, Venus and Ketu (in Aries) are astrological reasons for the recent events of earthquakes, wind and unseasonal rains.

Libra represents wind and west direction as well as Saturn is also more powerful in west are indicative of more natural calamities in west of India. Saturn and Rahu are coming closer. West coast of India is not prone to cyclone normally but one has to be careful for the pre and post monsoon activities around Arabian Sea.

Exalted Saturn in Libra with retrogative movement has given benefits (transfers, promotions) to many but it may spoil dreams of some too !

Persons born with Moon sign Libra, Aries, Sagittarius, Cancer, Scorpio, Virgo, Pieces will have + - effect as per the planets position in their birth chart.

I wish "shubham bhavatu kalyanam".
