Quarantine
To contain the spread of Covid19 Corona, it is now in true sense Quarantine lockdown in India from 25 March 2020 to 3 May 2020. Mars entered into the exalted sign Capricorn on 27 March 2020 will move out of it on 4th May 2020.
The word ‘Quarantine’ comes from the Italian word ‘Quaranta’, means forty (40). It was identity of an ancient noble family who lead 40 pilgrims and returned from the crusade in 11th century. During great plaque in 14th century in the city of Dubrovnik (now in Croatia), people of the ships were isolated for 40 days before entering the city.
Jesus himself prayed and fasted for 40 days in Judaean Desert before beginning his earthly ministry. Prophet Muhammad when was 40 years old went to Mount Hira for contemplation and reflection, angel Gabriel appeared before him and transmitted the verses. Prayer is the wireless communication to the Almighty. Whosoever connects, gets the Blessings.
Fasting as per Ayurveda is a powerful mean for cleansing and building immunity. It is for renewal and revival of our connections with the soul and with our roots of humanity. This Quarantine turns out to be a fasting time from work and from thoughts, not from the meal.
Hanuman Chalusa has forty Chaupais (verses). India will complete the Chalisa- Quarantine of 40 days on 3rd May. Love one another. Stay blessed.
