Aum Nam: Shivay

♨ ॐ नमः शिवाय ♨

Today is Shivratri. The Night of Bliss. The night to worship Mahadeva.

Others are Devas and He is Mahadeva.
Shiva, the Lord worshipped by most Hindus. His worshipping is the most ancient. When others were running after Nectar, He drank poison of Samudra Manthan. And look at His alertness, He didn't allow the poison to go down below the throat, to avoid the spread of bitterness deep inside.

Shiva means Kalyan(Bliss). But He has been described as Lord of Destruction. Imagine that, if we don't die; imagine the old leaves remain on trees; imagine the Generation and Operation continue without Destruction. What will happen? The Joy won't be there. The misery and pains of Olds will pain everyone. Whatever born has to die. Death is the Biggest Truth. Because of death, we can celebrate the Spring, New flowers, New borns in all creatures. The innocence of a Child reminds the beauty of the Sansar, the manifestation of the GOD himself. He is the Shaktiman and the Nature is His Shakti. His infinite dance of Natraj is on. He is the power of creativity in all creatures. His Third Eye is the Sixth Sense of Wisdom in humans.

Shiva has been named, Jtotir Linga, Swayambhu, Swayam Prakash, Niraakar, Nirlep, Niranjana. Who will describe him in words? He is beyond words and everything. The Universes are full of Dark Matter. From that Dark Matter, He emerges as Light, the Jyoti, the Swayambhu, the Swayam Prakash. He is formless (Niraakaar), unsmeared (Nirlep), transcendental (Niranjana).

He is the Light of Life in us. He is the Brahman and we are His Sparks.

His worship is the simplest. His doors are open day and night. No mantra required, No naivaidhya required. Just a Bhava to connect the Jiva with Shiva, open the path of liberation. His Grace is always there. His Blessings showers on all. He takes away our pains and direct us for better life.

Not that speech can illuminate, but that by which Speech can be illuminated; know that to be  the Eternal; Not that, which the mind can think, but that whereby the mind can think; Not that senses can feel, but that wherein feelings can be sensed: 'He the Supreme Power'!

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥
Om Try-Ambakam Yajaamahe
Sugandhim Pusstti-Vardhanam
Urvaarukam-Iva Bandhanaan
Mrtyor-Mukssiiya Maa-[A]mrtaat ||

(Meaning: Om, We Worship the Three-Eyed One (Lord Shiva), Who is Fragrant (Spiritual Essence) and Who Nourishesall beings. May He severe our Bondage of Samsara (Worldly Life), like a Cucumber (severed from the bondage of its Creeper), and thus Liberate us from the Fear of Death, by making us realize that we are never separated from our Immortal Nature)
